STOLZ LEAVES BALTIMORE CITY TO CONTINUE EDUCATION Adam Stolz, the First Deputy Director of the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, will be leaving his post with the City to return to college. Adam has been responsible for citywide all-hazards emergency planning and preparedness programs. Prior to serving in this position, he worked as a planner for Baltimore City Office of Emergency Management. Adam is a member of the Governor’s Emergency Management Advisory Council. He has also served the Maryland Emergency Management Association as the Area III representative covering the counties of Carroll, Harford, Baltimore, Howard and Anne Arundel as well as Baltimore City and the City of Annapolis. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University. Adam has served seven years in the City’s Office of Emergency Management. He spearheaded the evolution of the office from a one person operation to a robust Emergency Management program. He is regarded among his peers and colleagues as one of the regions experts in the field of Emergency Management. In addition to his many accomplishments, he has directed the application process for Homeland Security funds for Baltimore City. In 2005, he championed a team that authored a grant application that received the highest grade in the country. He has participated in numerous state and federal emergency management and homeland security projects.
